What are the minimum requirements to transfer to a UC campus?
To be eligible for transfer to a UC campus, you need to complete 60 semester (90 quarter) units of UC-transferable credit, earn at least a 2.4 GPA in UC-transferable courses (2.8 for non-California residents), and complete the required seven-course pattern with grades of C or better. This pattern includes two English composition courses, one mathematical concepts course, and four courses from at least two of these areas: arts and humanities, social and behavioral sciences, and physical and biological sciences.
What is the Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program?
The Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program offers guaranteed admission to specific UC campuses for California community college students who meet certain requirements. Six UC campuses participate in TAG: UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Merced, UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara, and UC Santa Cruz. Each campus has its own TAG criteria, including GPA requirements, major-specific prerequisites, and application deadlines. TAG applications are typically due in September for fall admission the following year.
Is IGETC required for transfer to UC?
