This guide helps you navigate TransferAI and make the most of your tools and resources, whether you are just starting or finalizing applications.

Getting started

Creating your account

Click Get My Unfair Advantage on the homepage. You will receive an email invitation to set up your account and complete your profile with details about your academic background and transfer goals.

Setting up your profile

Include your current institution, completed courses, target universities, intended major, and expected transfer term. The more detail you provide, the more accurate your recommendations will be.

After onboarding, you will see an overview of your transfer progress, recommended next steps, and quick access to tools. Use the top navigation to reach specific features like Course Planning, GPA Optimization, and Essay Assistance.

Course planning

Create an optimized academic plan based on your transfer goals:

  1. Navigate to Course Planning.
  2. Select your target universities and majors.
  3. Enter completed courses and grades.
  4. Review your personalized plan.
  5. Adjust the plan based on availability and preferences.

GPA optimization

Analyze your academic record and see strategies that have the highest impact on your transferable GPA.

Essay assistance

Get structured guidance for UC Personal Insight Questions. The tool helps you craft your authentic voice, not write for you.

Application timeline

Receive a personalized schedule of key deadlines and tasks so you stay on track.

Admission predictions

AI-based admission probability estimates, updated to reflect current trends and historical outcomes.

Professor ratings

Search for professors at your current or target institutions and review AI-enriched ratings and insights.
